The HERO Fund (Hamra Employees Reaching Out) serves employees of all Hamra Enterprises entities in 11 states; Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Missouri, New Hampshire, and Tennessee.
Hamra Enterprises is committed to supporting and empowering its valued employees and what’s important to them.
Out of this commitment, The HERO Fund was created in 2010 as a way for employees to reach out and support each other in unexpected emergency situations, which result in financial hardship.
Today, the HERO Fund not only provides Emergency Grant Assistance, but also Tuition Reimbursement grants and Home buying Assistance grants.
The HERO Fund is funded by Hamra employees, and to ensure the fund can make a difference for as many employees as possible, Hamra Enterprises matches donations dollar for dollar.
It’s simple to be a HERO: Being a HERO can mean donating as little as $1 or more out of each paycheck. It doesn’t sound like much, but your $1 combined with other peoples’ dollars have made a BIG difference.
Since the inception of The HERO Fund in 2011:
- We have raised over $2.5 million (with Hamra matching)
- We have made a difference for approximately 2,000 employees and their families
- We have granted more than $1.4 million
As of June 2023, with over 58% employee participation, the fund granted 230 emergency grants and 142 tuition reimbursement grants.
